After taking a nasty tumble during the bike portion of Ironman 70.3 St. George the month before, Jennifer was looking for some redemption, and Ironman 70.3 Boise fit the bill.

The day started off great with Jen snagging a photo with eight-time Olympic medalist Apolo Anton Ohno who was racing in his first 70.3 in preparation for Kona. Jen’s race was a success by her standards. A great bike split and a no-walk run meant she was able to finish with a 5:23:00 PR. And, her run split was faster than Apolo’s. Of course, this successful race wouldn’t have been possible without the love and support of Christopher, who was there at every loop and turn to cheer her on.

While this 70.3 race was the reason for our visit to Boise, we had a great time playing tourist the rest of our stay.
