Mishi’s Strudel Bakery and Cafe is a small family-run eatery in downtown San Pedro specializing in Hungarian (and other Central European) culinary delights. After a long Sunday bike ride, we decided to head over for lunch. As first time visitors, Mishi recommended trying their eponymous strudel. We started with one each of the cabbage and spinach savory strudels, then followed those up with cherry cheese and apple/walnut strudels for dessert, accompanied with some strong flavored coffee. While the prices seem a touch high (about $5 per strudel) for the amount of food you get, the delicious and hard-to-find authentic dishes, good service, and pleasant decor and atmosphere make Mishi’s worth a visit.
