After filling up at PBJ’s Grilled and Salt & Straw, we drove out toward the Columbia River Gorge. The first stop on our circuit was at the Portland Women’s Forum viewpoint at Chanticleer Point for a scenic overview of the canyon and a glimpse of the distant Vista House. We then moved down the road to hike the Bridal Veil Trail to the Bridal Veil Falls. Afterward, we got back in the car, making a quick stop at Latourell Falls, before heading over for some hiking around the very impressive Multnomah Falls (at 620′, the tallest falls in the state of Oregon). Then it was on to brief stops at Oneonta Gorge and Horsetail Falls. We then proceeded over to Cascade Locks Marine Park where we walked around right beside the Columbia River. From there, it was a short drive over to the Bridge of the Gods, which we crossed after first stopping for a few photos, taking us into Stevenson, WA, from where we made our way back to Oregon, finally ending the long day with dinner in downtown Portland at Deschutes Brewery Portland Public Houser.
