Jen bought a 20 pound watermelon. After a week, we had barely put a dent in it so we decided to make a granita. Watermelon Granita
watermelon (lots) Fill blender with watermelon. Add juice of 1 1/2 limes and 3 tbs of sugar (or to taste). Blend until smooth. Strain mixture into a large casserole dish. Repeat until dish is almost full (we did 4 batches). Place dish in freezer. After an hour, remove dish and rake mixture with a fork. Repeat until mixture is frozen. |

NOW I know what to do with my watermelon.
And instead of the lime for my tekillya, it’ll go to this recipe.
I was planning on whipping up more of my watermelon-mango slushies. But this recipe will make a perfect summer dessert. Beautiful!
