Every time my sister-in-law comes back from Japan, she always brings some delicious surprises. This last visit, she brought us some noodle-y Japanese dessert. In typical Japanese fashion, the dessert comes beautifully packaged and is a wonderful process itself to prepare. There is (1) a block of “jello”, (2) a package of sweet brown sugar sauce, and (3) a push stick. The push stick is pressed through the block of jello (like one of those cylindrical push pops from childhood). The jello has a sort of screen at the end. The result is a bunch of jello noodles that you then drizzle in the yummy sauce.
