It’s not exactly peach season, nor is the weather exactly warm…but that won’t stop us from some yummy fro-yo. This recipe was inspired from one in David Lebovitz’s The Perfect Scoop, a book we “borrowed” from ckh’s friend (and haven’t yet returned). We were flipping through the book and the simplicity of this one attracted us.
Peach Frozen Yogurt Cook the peaches with the water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Once the mixture is simmering, add the sugar. Stir occasionally until soft and cooked through, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and chill in a cold water bath or the refrigerator. When the peaches are cool, puree in a blender with the yogurt until smooth. Mix in a few drops of the lemon juice. Freeze the mixture in an ice cream maker. |

How timely! I just bought a used ice cream maker at the local thrift store & was looking for a recipe to try it out. Thank you! ;o}
